LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD

On the internet and news media, I read every kind of opinion and point of view. Well-written words advocating for everything from new wellness ideas, to human rights, to marijuana legalization, to fairness in the workplace, to political revolution. I read or hear strong words protesting everything from genetically modified foods, to toxic waste, to income inequality, to the unfairness of the political party that opposes yours. Dramatic voices for and against dramatic issues, in almost constant debate. Hard sometimes to know exactly what I think, to know what my voice wants to say.
Writing each day gives me the opportunity to choose a few ideas that feel real and important, and share them with you.
Amid the dim of loud voices and strong opinions blasting 24/7 on the internet and airways and etheric energy field surrounding you, there are quiet subtler voices. There are gentle voices sharing about yoga, mindfulness, meditation, kindness and unconditional love. There are YouTube teachings by spiritual teachers from around the globe. There are videos of conversations and interviews with wise people. There are so many books about meditation and awareness that if you need a reminder about who you there is probably a book or ten on your night stand to help you out. Some of you have written such books. Many of you are contributing your voice on videos and Facebook posts. And many are sharing the wisdom writings of those who have come before. And the musicians and artists share their voices in song and color and films. There is a growing, thriving global community of wise voices promoting and supporting love, self-realization, and connection to God and the universe. A critical mass of consciousness, you could say.
I will keep speaking, and I know you will too, because now is the time to let our voices be heard. I have a Facebook friend in Thailand where a military coup has ended his freedom to speak.
Let us dedicate ourselves to using the freedom that we are blessed with to let our voices be heard.
