ENDLESS LOVE

From the first awareness of a world outside of you as a baby, there was love. As you connected with the faces and fuzzy toys and blades of grass and the breeze on your skin, love grew in you.
Touching the world, curling your baby hand around a grown-up finger, imitating a smiling parent, love surrounded you.
As you bonded with the people and things in your life, the flow of love shaped your life, as you gave your love into your world, and you moved toward what gave love back to you.
We were born into an ocean of love. Love supporting us, carrying us to our fulfillment. Love deep inside sustaining us and encouraging us in times of doubt, fear, and powerlessness. Love pouring out of us into our children, our partners, our work, and our seeking for God and truth. Love coming toward us in friendship,
appreciation, the kind words and generous actions of the people in your life, and the beautiful songs of the birds in early morning.
Love is the essence of who we are, the strongest most powerful presence in the world. And love is so subtle, so quiet and gentle, that we take it for granted, and get distracted by our worries, our judgements, or interest in what's lacking or what's wrong. But love is always here, endlessly opening to reveal itself, if you will open to embrace it.
