REGRETS APOLOGIES FORGIVENESS

I notice a certain heaviness in my muscles sometimes. A somber fatigue in the lungs, a lingering natural sadness in my face, around the eyes. A slight unease around the heart. It takes a lot of energy carrying around regrets for choices long past. Reflecting on the long road that brought us all here to this moment, I am tired of my load of left-over grief and tension, and am ready to release it all, like winter ice dissolving into the March sunshine.
I invite you to join me in a great collective apology for all we've done wrong, for the ways we let ourselves and others down. For the ways we couldn't be more than we could be, couldn't be better than we were. And then to take the next step in accepting and forgiving everyone, and ourselves. No more blame or resentment. No more feelings frozen in past memories of pain. Time to let the ice melt into the cool Spring air.
