EMPATHY

     Moon in Scorpio, Neptune in Pisces now. Water signs: feeling, intuition, empathy.

     I care about you. Something in me resonates with something in you, so that I can feel what it feels like to be you. And I can feel when you care about me. We have been empathizing all of our lives, since as babies we learned to be human by responding to mom and dad's facial expressions. We exist in a world of empathy, vibrating in response to each other. The ocean of empathy has no beginning and no end. One vast sea of responsiveness.
     Sometimes, in order to protect our egos, we cut off our empathy. It's "too painful" to care so much.
You learn to feel strong or tough when you can take care of yourself first. You can say it's "their problem". You can even judge and criticize other people and groups, comparing them unfavorably to you. You are right, they are wrong. You are better, they are worse.
    Empathy is always happening. Empathy is love. And love always cares. When your heart is open,
empathy guides you all the way out into world, in full and vulnerable human connection.
