HOW DO YOU FEEL?

I am feeling really good these days, enjoying writing again. I do not always feel good, Here's an idea that comes up for me about feelings.  Feelings are your body telling you what your mind is thinking. You think "here is a threat to me" and the body feels fear. Feelings are very intelligent, and honest. The body does not lie.
Your mind, on the other hand, makes up stories to try to deal favorably with uncomfortable feelings. You have collected a lifetime of strategies to avoid painful feelings. It can get to the point where you can't tell what you are actually feeling now. You have worked yourself into a corner and the only way forward is to be willing to feel your fear, discomfort, embarrassment, shame. And to feel your excitement, lust, longing, pleasure, happiness, joy and especially love.
Love is the feeling that all the other feelings are protecting us from. Love includes feelings of vulnerability, fears of exposure, rejection and loss. To really love is to risk being a fool. To go ahead and be a crazy, unprotected, wide open lover is actually the healthiest thing you can do. And if you feel some apprehension about that, just take a deep breath and go ahead and love. It will feel great, and terrifying, and boring, and peaceful, and.............
