LOSING YOURSELF

Losing ourselves in the pathways of the maple forest in autumn. Where do I end and the trees begin? In the golden haze, the earthy boulevards, the brilliant colors of the changing leaves enter my lungs and my blood, and I am part of nature's celebration.
Who is the giver and who is the receiver at times like this? You lose yourself and are absorbed in the beauty and the fragile vitality. But would the trees even be there if not for your witnessing them? You are the conscious blessing, the articulate responder. The universe appreciates Herself through you.
Nature only asks of you that you be honest and humble. Nature will respond to you and appreciate your incredible beauty, if you are willing to be real and present. As you live through the many seasons of your life, Nature supports you in your days of new growth, and vibrant striving, and celebration, and then of letting go, of quiet dying into the next season.
When you lose yourself in Life, Nature gives you back everything you really are.
