WHO AM I?

One of the greatest meditation questions ever, asking yourself silently over and over "who am I?" Over time you slowly realize that you are not quite the personality that you're identified with. You see that you are not actually the role you play, or the work that you do, or the persons that others expect you to be, or the person you're trying to be. Eventually you sink into the experience of simply Being, without a name or job title. A space, an essence, a presence is revealed. An easy familiar recognition of I AM remains, after all the busy outer identifications drop away.
Way back in 1970 is did a process where we sat across from a partner and took turns saying to each other: "tell me who you are!",
for many hours a day for three days. These exercises were called an Enlightenment Intensive. Very intense. Very powerful way of asking the question "Who am I".
But I have found that the best enlightenment intensive is daily life, now, in this current moment. The question reveals answer, that you will express constantly (with little regressions when something freaks you out), you will bring the answer into all the situations and relations you are invested in. And you will see and acknowledge who I am, and who everyone else is. You will show up, and be present, and say "here I am" and "I love you" and let's create together the world we want to live in.
