I spend a lot of time alone, studying astrology charts, pondering meditative questions, writing, and absorbing myself in the addictive content of the internet. I've passed years, decades of time, trying to figure myself out. I've been alone and lonely, and I've been lost in groups, even in groups that were about enlightenment and consciousness. Finally what has become clear is that it's not so much about me.
The heart of life, the place you come home to, is your relationship with those you love. We work through our fears, our illusions, our psychological stuff, together in dialogue and in the tender scary dynamics of intimacy and commitment. We engage each other in our vulnerability and in our power, humbly open to knowing each other. And in seeing and feeling each other, God is revealed.
The New Moon tonight happens when the Sun and the Moon are together in the sign Libra. New Moon is an intimate time of joining, merging, focusing on one kind of energy. Libra is all about relationship and collaboration (see above). Libra's message is about seeking harmony and balance, resolving conflicts, talking things through in sacred dialogue. Sun and Moon in Libra says I love you and you love me, and lets work through everything that distracts us from that simple reality. We are intimately connected, and it is our privilege and our purpose to honor and deepen our love of each other.
