May we fulfill the promise of liberty, and liberate our minds from fear and tyranny.
May we take responsibility for acting with kindness and generosity.
May we heal our divisions, and let go of adversarial enmity.
If our country has lost its way, may we find the healing path.
May we again be one nation, under God or Buddha or the Great Spirit, with compassion and enlightenment for all.
