LOVE GROWS SLOWLY

Love grows slowly, and unfolds like a flower. Imagine if roses lived for seventy years or more, what incredible configurations would emerge. Love releases its fragrance subtly over time, opens like the night-blooming jasmine. In the Springtime the magnolias and lilacs with their gorgeous scents bloom for just a few weeks.
Love has its seasons, and its cycles. Bright and new, green and lush and wondrous, subsiding into deep somber wintry silence, and then budding and blossoming again. And again. Love's roots are deep in the ground of the heart. Love grows slowly, and appears over and over, opening its petals, every petal new and unexpected.
