NEW MOON IN TAURUS: GROUNDED IN REALITY

    New Moon in Taurus. That means Sun and Moon are joined in the sign Taurus. Mercury is joined with both of them. A great gathering in this wonderful zodiac sign. Simply put, Taurus is about being grounded in reality. Sincere, open, and loving, a Taurus person is totally present in your life. You can count on her or him to be there for you, warmly, affectionately, truly. No bullshit with Taurus. So this New Moon in Taurus reminds you to get your feet on the ground, honest up with yourself and others, come back out the the wanderings of your imagination,
and feel in your body just how real your life is. And put your energy into building your dreams right here on earth.
     Taurus is the energy of persistence. Keep at it, a day at a time.
You want something wonderful, don't back down. Lay the groundwork, do it right. If it doesn't work, you've learned how to do it better again tomorrow. There is no failure, just a life-long creative process of putting your heart into your hands and expressing the beauty that is in you. 
     Here at home, Taurus wife and I are remodeling a guest bathroom. Found a new grey granite top for the vanity counter and new grey tile for the floor. We picked a color for the vanity called
Toasted Cranberry. Of course, when we painted it the color looked a screaming hot pink, totally unacceptable. After moments of despair and self-recrimination, we took a few deep breaths and went back to the paint store for the age-appropriate creamy white that looks quite dignified with the grey top and tiles. Taurus is not satisfied until we get it right.
     At the time of the New Moon, it can be good to affirm your intention for the month ahead. So gather your energy, bring it down into your gut, and down to your toes, and declare what you want to build, declare how you want to beautifully shape your life. And affirm that you will not quit until you get it right.
