Your mind wants to make sense of things. Your consciousness is simply open and responsive. When you look into your consciousness, you may be inspired at the vast interconnectedness of life, inspired to move beyond yourself. Or, when your mind tries to comprehend the flow of life, you might think you understand how you can control it, and then we're talking about illusion.
Good things happen when you relax your mind and open it to whatever you notice- breathing, excitement, others' happiness and suffering. Your receptive mind eventually opens to a deep love that is beyond anything you could have thought it was. This is no illusion.
