HEALING CANCER

      I am healing from prostate cancer. It sounds devastating. Cancer! Yet, surprisingly, this has been a great opportunity for me.
I've looked more deeply into what life means to me. I've discovered my strength and courage, and appreciated my vulnerability and powerlessness. The possibility of death took me closer to my connection to the universe, my original home. And the hope for recovery was driven by my love of those close to me, wife and family, and by my sense of purpose to share counseling wisdom in astrology. My heart opened. I got to experience a profound sense of collaboration with doctors and nurses and researchers who shared their talents and their commitment to healing. And I got to know my body in a much deeper way. I even was able to make friends with cancer, and come to understand it not as an enemy but as a teacher. The teaching: life is a gift to be fully experienced.

     To heal, you have to go into the pain, until it transforms into love, the original energy of life. Astrologically, Chiron (the Healer) is about to move forward more actively. All of us are healing in so many ways. And all of us are agents of healing, encouraging well-being and wisdom in our world.
